UK Support For Refugees In the UK BEP has formed links between British Schools and Karen schools and has provided informal support and EFL tuition for Burmese refugees who have settled in Sheffield and other parts of the country. The EFL tuition is provided by unpaid volunteers.
Learning about Burma BEP provides speakers for a range of organisations. Illustrated presentations focus on the background to the current situation and key issues.
Please contact us if you would like a speaker for your group.
BEP can also provide a substantial photographic exhibition called 'Forgotten Friends' which highlights the plight of children in the refugee camps on the Thai border.
Teaching materials are available to accompany this exhibition.
